There is some reference to the possibility that Ashburton-Chadstone changed name to Ashburton FC sometime in the 1990s, but this is not confirmed.

1987-89 - Ashburton-Chadstone wore a green guernsey with red yoke, and were known, colloquially if not officially, as the 'Toffee Apples'.
