This league was apparently a different one to the South Wimmera FL.

Timeline :
1944 - Replacing the Ararat Football League, a new league commenced, known as the Southern Wimmera League. The comprising clubs were Ararat 1, Ararat 2, Ararat Tigers, Stawell Mill, Navarre and Lake Bolac, all of which moved on or fell by the wayside the next year.
