Sandringham Football Club (Vic)

General :
Sandringham are one of only two clubs that were never relegated to Division 2 during the dual division period of the VFA.

Guernseys & Nicknames :
Sandringham are known as the Zebras.
The guernseys are black, gold and blue, a selection from the three teams that produced the club.
1934 - This was the year in which Sandringham were first referred to as the Zebras.

Grounds :
1966 - Sandringham spent a year using the Saint Kilda Cricket Ground as their home ground.

1927 - Sandringham conceived, deriving from parts of Sandringham Amateurs, Black Rock and Hampton.
1929 - Sandringham completed the VFA season in 12th position on the ladder.
1930 - Sandringham completed the VFA season in 12th position on the ladder.
1931 - Sandringham completed the VFA season in 8th position on the ladder.
1932 - VFA : Sandringham won 12 of 20 games and finished 6th.
1933 - Sandringham completed the VFA season in 5th position on the ladder.

First Semi-Final - Sandringham defeated Port Melbourne by 29 points.
Preliminary Final - Sandringham defeated Williamstown by one point.
Grand Final - Sandringham 14.15.99 defeated Camberwell 13.14.92.

1947 (VFA) :
Sandringham completed the home & away season in 3rd position.
First Semi-Final - Sandringham were victorious.
Preliminary Final - Sandringham were victorious.
Grand Final - Port Melbourne defeated Sandringham by 31 points.

1948 - VFA : Sandringham won 7 of 19 games and finished 8th.
1949 - VFA : Sandringham won 7 games and finished 11th.
1950 - Sandringham completed the VFA season in seventh position on the ladder.

1951 (VFA) :
Sandringham finished third after the home & away season.
First Semi-Final - Oakleigh defeated Sandringham by 19 points.

1952 - Sandringham finished 12th in the VFA.
1953 - VFA : Sandringham won 5 of 18 games and finished 13th.
1954 - Sandringham finished 14th (last) in the VFA.
1955 - VFA : Sandringham won 8 games and finished 10th.

1960 (VFA) :
Sandringham won 15 of their 18 home and away matches.
Second Semi-Final - Sandringham defeated Oakleigh by 2 goals.

Sandringham completed the home and away matches in third position on the ladder.
